The Space Between Movements

The Space Between Movements was an early exploration of what later became Entangled Rhythms. This work-in-progress installation brought together a projection of a short documentary on rave and ecstatic dance with a looping video of a dancer improvising to prompts about quantum entanglement. The contrast between the large projection of collective dance culture and the smaller screen of intimate, improvised movement highlighted the tension between shared and personal experience. White and blue strobe lights echoed the tones of both films, creating a layered dialogue between collective energy and individual expression. The piece experimented with repetition, reflection, and atmosphere—laying the groundwork for the immersive live performance that followed.
